Find and Replace Text

Quick Start

1
Paste source text.
2
Add find => replace rules.
3
Check matches, then copy or download.

Common Scenarios

Update repeated URLs, domains, tags, or variable names in copied text.

Apply multiple cleanup rules to template exports or CMS snippets.

Use regex groups when repeated formats need captured values.

Replacement Rules

Rules run from top to bottom, so later rules see earlier replacements.
Plain text mode treats the find side literally. The mode applies to every rule.
Regex mode treats the find side as JavaScript regex and supports $1-style groups. The mode applies to every rule.

Usage Advice

Put narrow rules before broad rules to avoid replacing text too early.
Test regex rules on a small sample before processing large text.
Use the Rules checkbox to turn off case sensitivity when copied text has inconsistent capitalization.

Limitations & Compatibility

This is not a CSV parser, HTML sanitizer, or code refactoring engine.
Invalid regex rules stop processing and keep the original input unchanged.
Very large text can slow the browser editors; process huge exports in chunks.

Privacy & Security

Find and replace runs locally in your browser. Source text and replacement rules may stay as browser drafts, and mode/case options may be kept in browser storage. If saved workspaces or WebDAV sync are enabled, those inputs and options may be saved through that sync. Result text, match counts, errors, and TXT downloads are regenerated from the current source, rules, and options; this tool does not upload files or attachments.
