Quick Start

1
Import one image
2
Review common EXIF/GPS
3
Choose format and quality
4
Re-encode a clean copy
5
Download result

Common Scenarios

Remove location and device info from images before sharing/uploading

Pre-share assurance copy

Export a clean copy even if no displayable EXIF is detected

HEIC/HEIF input only

normalize locally to PNG preview, then export a selected JPEG/PNG/WebP/AVIF clean copy

Multi-page TIFF

Select target page to preview and export; BigTIFF is not supported

View & Export Options

Export format: JPEG/PNG/WebP/AVIF; PNG is lossless, JPEG fills white, WebP/AVIF balance quality and size
Quality slider: Only for JPEG/WebP/AVIF, higher = clearer but larger
TIFF page selector: Only appears for multi-page TIFF, switching updates preview/export and adds.pN to the cleaned filename

Usage Advice

Recommend keeping original, export copy for sharing is safer
For transparent background export PNG/WebP/AVIF; JPEG fills with white
Keep page in foreground when processing large images to avoid browser throttling
Blue dot on EXIF panel means no displayable EXIF detected, you can still export clean copy

Limitations & Compatibility

Only shows common EXIF fields; vendor-specific maker notes, IPTC, and XMP fields may not display
Export creates a re-encoded clean copy; quality and size may change, and only JPEG output is re-checked for EXIF in the UI.
Selective cleanup is not supported: cannot remove only GPS while keeping other EXIF; export strips metadata by re-encoding.
TIFF bounds: BigTIFF is not supported; pages above 12,000 px width/height or 40,000,000 pixels may fail.
Very large TIFF may cause memory issues or processing failure.
HEIC/HEIF input decoding and AVIF/WebP output encoding depend on local browser and encoder support.
Scope boundary: no EXIF/IPTC/XMP editor, GPS editing, metadata preservation, or forensic metadata recovery.
File boundary: no batch/PDF/Office/video metadata cleanup, redaction, or image compression.

Privacy & Security

Image metadata inspection and clean export run in your browser. The source image, detected metadata, TIFF page choice, cleaned preview, and processing results stay in page memory while this tool is open. Output format and quality settings may stay in browser storage; if WebDAV sync is enabled, those settings may sync according to your settings. The image file is not synced by default; it only enters WebDAV attachment sync when you explicitly enable attachment sync. The cleaned JPEG/PNG/WebP/AVIF file is generated for download and is not stored as a separate result. On shared devices, clear the image, metadata, results, saved settings, and site data when needed.
